To help with the understanding of scale and proportions, life drawing allowed me to do this, studying the body's fine details. Developing the technique of building the body through shapes really worked for me. I carried this technique on throughout my drawings to create the best proportions. Also doing a little bit of collage to build segments of the body replacing building through shapes to building through material.
